The shop owner designs patterns for quilts and bears. Katie is very talented, enthusiastic and very welcoming. She also sells her patterns online so you can go to her website (http://www.delander.be/) to see them close up and also click on the photos to enlarge the photos I can included here. I am not affliated with the shop just a fan and customer.
I fell in love with the July patchwork kit which is a frog laying in the sun under a parasol. Everything is contained in this cute little box to make the quilt. It reminded me of one of my favorite books from when I was a child. Did you ever read 'Frog and Toad are Friends'? I still have my book with my name written inside. I will make up this adorable little quilt and sit it together with my book.
Be sure to continue signing up on my previous entry for the drawing if you have not done so already.
What a beautiful quilt shop and a beautiful dog! I will have to check out the link you provided. I used to read Frog and Toad are Friends to our girls when they were little - what a cute quilt square! Thanks for sharing your photos of Brugge Heidi. It must be a magnificent place!
Hello Heidi ~ I'm just stopping in before I go to bed to wish Happy Birthday to your blog :) Right now it's 12:45 AM on the 17th here in a rainy and wet San Antonio.
I would love to wander round this shop! Thanks for the link. When I have time I will be sure to check it out.
Cute shop, love fabric! My kids love Frog and Toad too :)
I will never forget that book! I really loved it! The quilt kit is adorable! It is so nice to have such a beautiful shop that you are able to visit. Thank you for providing the link to her shop!
It looks like a lovely shop! And Lander reminds me SO much of Chance. I really do miss that dog! I can't wait to see a picture of the finished quilt! Love you!
Beautiful shop! I love all the quilts and those angels in a cone are adorable, too! The Frog quilt is so cute and funny enough, Sam and I just read a Frog and Toad book. they are among my favorites!!
No wonder you keep returning to this shop, it must be like going into Aladdin's cave. The pictures are so tantalizing. I love the froggy quilt and can just see it stitched up. We wandered into the garden last Friday and there was the most delightful tubby little golden green coloured frog sunning himself on a log at the back of the garden - nice thought, eh, frog on a log...haha! His little throat was bubbling in and out like a little piston. It was a magical moment :>)
I digress...haha! I meant to say that many years ago when we visited America in 1996, we came upon an amazing quilting shop. I wandered around in a trance and came out with a clutch of little kits and I don't even quilt...haha!
Oh I LOVED the Frog and Toad books - sooooooooo good! Ben liked them too :) That kit looks like such fun.
