In 2005, this was my current collection of embroidery scissors. I have more now but am also making fobs to 'dress' them.
These items include a celluloide needlecase and child's fan, a bone and an ivory crochet hook, a bone bodkin, a bone spool holder, an antique bone tatting shuttle, an antique ivory carved needlecase, antique bone and ivory stilettos or awls.

My my, what a tremendous collection of treasures you have! It was fun looking through them here :)
Heidi what a fabulous collection you have there.
Doesn't it make you wonder about all the people who used these items for their sewing and crafts?
Thanks for sharing these pictures I enjoyed them so much.
Hugs,
Margaret
You always show such interesting things, Heidi. Do you keep your collections displayed in your home?

I've enjoyed catching up with your last several blog posts Heidi. What a nice collection of antique needlework accessories you have! I love your pincushion, all the pinkeeps and the special hornbook. Your clothespin bag reminds me of my mother's - I used to help her hang the clothes outside when I was a child. My mom didn't have a dryer which seems so odd now. In fact when I was quite small before going to school my mother still had a wringer washer! I can remember her running clothes thru the rollers because it fascinated me.
Just Beautifull!!!!!!
Merveillous collection

Oh, my Heidi! What glorious treasures! I love all your vintage scissors... :-) They are my fave! Like Margaret mentioned... I do wonder about the ladies who owned all the pieces before and what their lives were like? Thanks for sharing with us...
