Before I start this entry, let me apologize for the quality of the photos. I wish I could get a better photo but wanted to try and capture the true color.
I just wrote a blog entry today on my other blog about a sweet surprise dropping on my doormat. I am feeling very blessed today! This evening, our packages postman (we have two - one brings the mail and the other any packages) rang my doorbell. He handed me two packages. First, I received a thoughtful box of tea from a dear friend Hazel in England. I am so touched by your sweet letter to me Hazel and thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness. I am honored that you feel I inspired you and wish you the very best of luck with your "Christmas Spice" demonstration. I am sure it will go very well and hope everyone enjoys making the little tabletopper quilt. I will think of you as I drink a cup of this lovely tea.
I then opened an envelope from a blogging friend in the US. Teresa made me a PIF gift which is just beautiful. I am wearing it now as I type these words ~ a knitted scarf in gem stone tones. It is so soft! I took this silly photo of myself wearing it as there is no one here now to take one for me. I almost thought it was too funny looking to even share it but want Teresa to see it. She said she wanted me to know she was praying for my health problems and I feel like she sent me a real hug while I wear this scarf! I love the colors in it. It reminds me of our heather fields here in Holland. Just perfect Teresa. Thank you so very much for the scarf and your friendship!

Heidi, your self photo is fun. I love the scraf your friend made for you, lovely color. And tea from Hazel, well it should go well with some cookies. I'll be right there to join you.

What a lovely scarf! Your photo is much better than any I've tried to take of myself, so bravo!!
I was thinking of you tonight, as the conversation shifted briefly to quilting. I guess it was "think of Heidi" day! How fun!!

That is just a very nice scarf you received. I know how much you love scarves, so maybe Theresa did too. Very nice gift and I like the picture you took.
Love you, Mom
Hey, I forgot the tea from Hazel. You love tea for sure. Bake some cookies and I will be right there.
Love you, Mom
PS: You can keep the frog in your throat warm with your scarf, while you drink your special tea.
What a boost to the day to have such lovely gifts!
Sweet presents for a very sweet lady. I wouldn't take off that scarf either if I were you :o)
What sweet gifts and I love that scarf -so pretty and I think you look adorable Heidi.
Those unexpected gifts from good friends are always heart-warming, aren't they? Enjoy this wonderful scarf with its great colours when you go for a walk, and enjoy Hazel's tea when you come back from your walk.
It's not a silly photo at all. You look lovely and as always your eyes are bright and twinkly :>) (Haha, I'm reminded by that description not by your photo, of a certain little Beatrix Potter character :>)
The scarf is really beautiful and looks so snug and warm. what a really thoughtful present from your friend. And how lovely to get a packet of tea from Hazel.
Warm hugs, Angela
I love your needlebook and charm quilts. I particularly like hexagon quilts. I have one in the making, but I won't tell you how long I have been doing it!
The journals sound interesting. Are they something you could recommend? I have been reading about the history of American quilts. Such a fascinating way of life.
The scarf looks lovely and cosy.
Nice to meet you ;-) and your scraf is lovely!
