A gift for Karen

When I mailed the swap box to Karen, I decided to throw in some Dutch candy and cookies for her to enjoy. I also made her a scissor fob. I know she likes autumn tones as I do so I created the fob using an rust brown beading and a stork scissor charm.

Once the quilt group has seen the blocks at our next meeting, I will share the American blocks with you. That will be sometime after the first week of March.

The scissor fob is very pretty and a thoughtful gift. Would that candy happen to be "drop"? :D (another addiction of mine)
The blocks your group has made are perfect and even though I don't live in Holland, I think a perfect representation of Holland at least from what I learned from my parents and Oma and Opa. Can't wait to see what comes from the US.

Heidi I think there might be one in the next town but if not I'll try online is there a particular name to ask for?????? It's turned a little colder here to-day again & I think that we're in for a cold week-end but at least we have the flowers to cheer us up. Have a great week-end. Marie x

Heidi,
Can't wait to see the American blocks. I'm sure they are wonderful. It's such an amazing thing to do and really illustrates the idea of threads connecting us to far off places and faraway hearts.

Your little extras just make the exchange extra special. I love the little fob with the scissors charm. I'm never seen one like that before :>)
Hugs, Angela
