To keep my momentum up, I grabbed another of my UFOs and started working on it. This one had already been well on its way with the hand quilting. I had two rows of blocks quilted. I am giving you just a glimpse of this one so far...
I based the entire quilt around this adorable storybook fabric I bought. It reminded me of a vintage 1930s or 40s children's book. I fell in love with it and came up with a block that would show off the various scenes on the fabric. It is also very pink as this quilt is for Zoe and pink is her favorite color.
I decided I wanted to do some fobbing again this afternoon. My beads are still spread out all over the table as I am planning another necklace again. I wanted to first decorate the zipper of a tapestry purse I was given a couple of years ago by a friend. I use this for my stitching. It is fun to dress up things with fobs!
Here is a closer look.....I used the colors in the purse as well as the theme of flowers by adding purple, green and gold to the fob and using a bee and flowers as charms. Even the purple bead has flowers on it. Enlarge the photos for details.
This dragonfly fob is a gift. I hope the person it will be mailed to this week will like it.

The fobs are very pretty and the quilt is so lovely. Really different but even beautiful as all the other you made but. I like the quiltpattern and think Zoe will be very happy when she gets it. Do you think it is ready so that your mother can take it with her when she goes home? Lots of succes. Hugs en groetjes, Elly
What an adorable quilt for Zoe, I love it! The fobs are delicate again, wonderful. I enjoy my butterfly fob everyday!
I will take the sampler and the quilt with me on Monday. It looks like ages ago we met, I really look forward to it!
Have a nice evening and hugs, Carolien
Won't Zoe feel so special when she receives this quilt? What an adorable idea! I also love the fabric. Pretty fobs!
You have been so industrious! The fobs are very sweet - haven't seen many of them over here. I'll have to have a look in the shops.
I look forward to hearing about more UFOs!
Heidi, do you cut your pieces using templates, or mass cut with rotary cutter?
I have been trying foundation piecing lately, fairly new to me.
I loveeeeeee the quilt, sooo cute.
The purse is great and the fob is really nice. You are as usual a very busy girl.
Love you, Mom
Oh the quilt is absolutely precious! It doesn't surprise me in the least though!

The storybook quilt is so charming, I am sure Zoe will always treasure it. I love that purse fob, leave it to you to come up with more ideas for these wonderful beads. Your new dragonfly fob is just gorgeous, too, and I am sure the recipient will be so pleased. Your talent overflows!!!
Oh isn't that quilt just the cutest of all quilts!! I LOVE that old vintage style graphics. Are you sure you don't want to mail it to me instead? ha ha.
