After reading Angela's comment, I thought I would give you all the link for this pincushion. It is online and if you paste this site you will be able to print out the templates:
http://www.marthastewart.com/good-things/strawberry-pincushions.
I did change the way I attached the top. I gathered the top of the strawberry with a large enough opening to insert the knot of a piece of cord for the stem. I filled mine with batting not sand but you could use anything including potpourri or lavender. Then I simply tacked it down on the inside of each of the curves. This leaves the green slightly bowed which I thought was a cute effect.

See Heidi, I told you that is what Angela wanted. I hope Angela sees this and visits Kristy's blog. I gave her the smile award on it.
Love you, Mom
That pin cushion is the sweetest thing! I am not a sewer, but that would look cute in anyone's home!

Heidi, are you a member of the yahoo group - crazyaboutpincushions ? - all one word.
If not, then you might be interested.
They have lots of patterns, links, photos, swaps, etc.
OH no Heidi, here you go into another group. I can see it coming. Your friends all need to visit my blog so they can see you with a BIG beer in your hands. haha
love you, Mom
Thanks for your comment Heidi, yes, I love felt pincushions too!
Did you see the pattern on my blog?
Go go today's post (18th) and click on the pink "July".
I love to find vintage craft books with felt novelty patterns! Just love felt!!
The strawberry pincushion is just adorable! And how good of you to finish off old projects before starting new ones. I tend to get excited about something new before I have finished the ones I am working on, and that way quite a few projects are unfinished... I will really have to do something about it...
Thank you for your comments in my blog. They are highly appreciated. I have also enjoyed my visit here.
Hi Again Heidi!
