Monday's fall quote

November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.

The picture of your garden gate and the accompanying poem make my heart ache for my own garden....someday I'll have one again!

What a lovely poem Heidi. Thanks for sharing it. The photo is especially nice with the sweet garden sign.

Heidi, I love your garden gate and the sign on it. Those stones are so welcoming, so beckoning.

Oh goodness what a lovely poem. I don't know where you find such beautiful verse. I have started a small journal to copy each one down. Thank you for that...
