Autumn Leaves quilt

I am finished sewing the Chinese coins and the first two black borders on the quilt. For the next border around this medallion quilt, I am considering using small 4-patch blocks. I have been playing with ideas and started with the fall colors mixed with light (beige) fabrics but also laid it out with the same fabrics I used in the Chinese coins and no lighter fabrics. I think I like this better. What do you think? At any rate, I will be busy cutting lots of little squares for now.

Heidi,
It is so pretty already and you work so fast! I don't understand the quilting terms you are using, but can certainly appreciate the beauty of your project!

You are very fast! It's looking lovely. I think I like the darker fabrics too. Those little squares will definitely keep you busy!!

Hello Heidi,

Your Autumn Leaves quilt is turning out beautiful! I like the darker colors that are the same as the colors you used in the Chinese Coins. And, can I ask why they are called that?

Heidi - I like the darker colors also. I just love the quote stitched on this piece!

Hmm, I think I may be the only one who prefers the lighter colours, but that is not to say the darker colours aren't stunning together either! I totally love this project, anyway!
