I am a 40-something housewife that loves to make my home a cheerful place for my husband and myself. I love working each day on my handwork and inspiring others to unlock their creative muses.
I have a blog where I write about my handwork and one in which I write about the changing seasons and things around my home and garden. Please stop by and visit me. While there, don't forget to leave a comment. I love hearing from you!
I want to thank everyone who has honored me with an award or tag. I have decided to make my blog an award free zone as I find it difficult to pick and choose myself among the blogs I love. I think every blog is great in its own way.
When I mailed the swap box to Karen, I decided to throw in some Dutch candy and cookies for her to enjoy. I also made her a scissor fob. I know she likes autumn tones as I do so I created the fob using an rust brown beading and a stork scissor charm.
Once the quilt group has seen the blocks at our next meeting, I will share the American blocks with you. That will be sometime after the first week of March.
VERY pretty, Heidi, a lovely gift you have made! That looks very easy to made, and to great effect! Karen will love it. :o) Happy weekend ((HUGS)) Oh, love your windmill from previous post!
The scissor fob is very pretty and a thoughtful gift. Would that candy happen to be "drop"? :D (another addiction of mine) The blocks your group has made are perfect and even though I don't live in Holland, I think a perfect representation of Holland at least from what I learned from my parents and Oma and Opa. Can't wait to see what comes from the US.
Heidi I think there might be one in the next town but if not I'll try online is there a particular name to ask for?????? It's turned a little colder here to-day again & I think that we're in for a cold week-end but at least we have the flowers to cheer us up. Have a great week-end. Marie x
Heidi, Can't wait to see the American blocks. I'm sure they are wonderful. It's such an amazing thing to do and really illustrates the idea of threads connecting us to far off places and faraway hearts.
Your little extras just make the exchange extra special. I love the little fob with the scissors charm. I'm never seen one like that before :>) Hugs, Angela
You are so clever and creative! The scissor fob is lovely and how cute is the tiny stork charm. I hope that reading your blogs allows a little of that creativity to rub off on me! Have a wonderful weekend!
