Tonight my lace friends, Sonja and Jannie and I are going to start on this star ornament. I am looking forward to this one and I really want more bobbin lace ornaments for my Christmas tree. This will go much easier. For now, here is a picture of the pattern as I prick the holes in the pattern. I will show you the progress we made tomorrow.

Just one of those days.....
.....you know.....a day when I just cannot seem to get things going and what I do just isn't right. I am trying to finish this nativity ornament off this afternoon so I can put my starch on it and remove it from my cushion. It just is not working out like I want and, with regrets, I am still plugging ahead on it. I wish now I had done a braid down both sides of Joseph and added more pairs that it called for to make it fuller. I don't have the time to take it all out and redo it so I will finish it and get this cushion ready for tonight.

Hallo Heidi, op dit moment ben ik ook bezig met het voorbereiden van deze kerstster. Het is weer even wennen om de klosjes in de hand te hebben! Tot vanavond, liefs Sonja
WOW!!! Your bobbin lace looks amazing! That looks so difficult and time-consuming to me!
I know nothing about making bobbin lace so I have no idea how you would even begin to make an ornament! Your Nativity ornament looks very pretty to me. I will look forward to progress photos on your star.

Hi Nancy, the evening was fun! But today will even be more fun...we are going to Elburg! Shopping. By the way the DMC threads are wonderful! groetjes Heidi and Sonja
Wow, I think the Nativity looks wonderful!! Are those beads and other things added?? I didn't know you could do such a thing, if they are!! I can't wait to see the star, it is a beautiful pattern.
The Nativity is beautiful! I can't imagine that this is not going well for you! The star is gorgeous! I can't wait to see it completed!
I'm just so amazed at your lace. I could never do it! It's unbelieveable, Heidi!
