I am a 40-something housewife that loves to make my home a cheerful place for my husband and myself. I love working each day on my handwork and inspiring others to unlock their creative muses.
I have a blog where I write about my handwork and one in which I write about the changing seasons and things around my home and garden. Please stop by and visit me. While there, don't forget to leave a comment. I love hearing from you!
I want to thank everyone who has honored me with an award or tag. I have decided to make my blog an award free zone as I find it difficult to pick and choose myself among the blogs I love. I think every blog is great in its own way.
Someone on my stitching list posted an adorable free design today which she found on a blog (http://stitchingandscribbling.blogspot.com/ ). I printed it out and am going to stitch it up for a Valentine's Day pinkeep. I think it will stitch up very quickly so I can do this now in between all my other projects. I really want to have it finished in time for the holiday. I am using Zweigart 28ct. Lugana 'New Khaki'. The thread is The Dye Is Cast ~ pink 'Nose', green 'Mossy Spot' and browny-biege 'Brunch Punch'. I am being influenced by my French stitching friend, Francoise, as she is a great fan of pink thread. I decided to give this bright pink a go in honor of her.
This is the 2nd part of our PS Winter Wind SAL completed. The white thread is a white metallic thread by Madiera which gives it a snowy look. Unfortunately, it does not show up on the photos. I just sent out the new assignment this morning and will post a new progress photo again next week.

Heidi, This is such a sweet little pattern and will be perfect as a Valentine pinkeep. I love those colours, did you just have them in your stash? Mossy Spot is lovely. I can't see WW's but, no problem, I can see it on our group page! Hugs, Angela
As I wrote on another blog where I saw your Winter Wind SAL I like the variation of colours for the words very much. I do love reading your blog, and I already came several time. On your profile, I saw that you like gregorian music. I have several CD of it too, and like you I'm making my Valentine gifts for my friends at moment. I already begin on January 3 to be sure to have them finished in time. I'll come back soon. Greetings from France.

Hello Heidi,
Don't you love this little design? I want to stitch it to, and I love the colors you have picked.
Your Winter Winds sampler is gorgeous! I will look forward to future photos of this.
