This sweet little child's bed really caught my eye at the quilt exhibition in the Fries Museum. I love things like this along with little quilts made especially to fit these elegant girl's toys. It is a special piece of social history. "Sweet dreams form a shade,
O'er my lovely infants head.
Sweet dreams of pleasant streams,
By happy silent moony beams
Sweet sleep with soft down.
Weave thy brows an infant crown.
Sweet sleep Angel mild,
Hover o'er my happy child."

I have seen your little cradle and the tiny quilt you made. They look great in your living room.
I like the one you saw at the museum too.
Hope you are having a good day.
Love you, Mom
Dit had ik ook niet laten staan. Hij is mooi en meteen
een goede reden om kleine quiltjes te maken.
Heidi,
Your eye never makes a mistake. If you said the cradle was just right for the quilt then it was just right...haha! Imagine creating such a pretty little quilt from snippits. I love the story that goes with your pictures and I love the little cradle on display at the museum.
Warm hugs Angela

They were made for one another! Perfect.
What a lovely cradle you have. It's an ideal way to display your quilt. Looks perfect.
That is lovely Heidi....it will be a real heirloom.
It brings back memories...
My grandfather made me a little cradle a long long time ago. I still have it, somewhere in my basement. Maybe I have more room in my new home, to give it a better place. Can you make me a little quilt then?.... please, pretty please??
I will keep you in my thoughts the next couple of weeks. And burn my candles for you, and your Mom. Don't turn into the Hulk or Shrek.., I don't like the 'spuug'green color!
That little cradle is adorable as is the quilt that is on it.
I love that the cradle is battered and worn because it means it was much loved and well used at one time.
the cradle and the quilt are ment to be together! It's a special experience to see that quilt fit perfectly.
hope you feel beter soon
