My white Christmas is.....

...here in my reading corner. I have a small tree there which is filled with my handmade bobbin lace ornaments.

Each year, I have been making an ornament to use in this tree. I did not make one this year and wish I had. I will definitely add one next year!

Have a closer look at a few of the ornaments. There is everything from a nativity...

to candles...

and snowmen...

stars...

...and pretzels.

Making these ornaments are fun and each is unique. It gives a pretty white glow to the room. We are discussing homemade items for the holidays on my stitching list and I enjoy things like this which I can add to each year.

I know I did comment on this but I don't know where it went. I have seen this tree and I know it is great. I have watched you make this lace and I still cannot believe it.
When you pull out all the pins, I think oh oh but no it works. It is so pretty.
Love you, Mom

Hey Heidi,
Mom said to tell you I laughed. She said you would know what I mean.....Nothing to do with this section of your blog. By the way, your tree looks neat.
Love,
Bull

I love green trees all done in white! yours is so sweet with all your handmade things.

I saw a really pretty one today that was a store decoration. The ornaments were mostly white feathery clump things - my description is not great but all the fluffy white on the green was so nice.

What a beautiful post!
The tree looks simply gorgeous decked out with the lace ornaments.
I've seen some of my friends making them and they are so very pretty.
What a cosy corner this is Heidi. I love your sampler collection and the chair looks so inviting with the afghan draped over it.
I'm thinking that is probably some of Nancy's work?
