Yeah! I did it again!

I had an unexpected telephone call yesterday as my friend Sonja had a day off work and called to see if we could get together for tea and some stitching. Well, of course, I said yes and she came over for the afternoon. I wanted to get my latest UFO finished and finish it I did!

I had my trusty quilt tester helping out. Dagi not only tests the quilts but supervises my work. Sonja ran upstairs for my camera and took a photo of my helper. I mentioned while she was doing this that normally I would have already thought of a name for the quilt but had not so far. Then we thought since Dagi was sitting on the corner of the quilt and this quilt block is called "Puss in the Corner", well just wait and see...

I machine quilted this one. To me it still feels like I am cheating even though I know the machine does not work without me there guiding the quilt along, but still. I am however enjoying the fact that I can reduce my UFOs. I am back to a project by hand this weekend so that will help me feel better perhaps. *grins*

I found this fabric in my stash cupboard that was large enough to use for the backing. Today I am working on the label so here it is...

I am calling the quilt "My Puss in the Corner: Dagi's Flower Garden". Do you think Mr. Dagi approves?

Have a creative weekend and I hope to share another finish when I return from Cranberry Cottage.

Fijn weekend gewenst in CC. groetjes Sonja

Mandie and I are sitting together, watching Mary Poppins with Zoe while I am looking at some blogs. Mandie says, you need to finish Zoe's quilt. Hope you have fun at the cottage. I love the cat you drew, and boy does Mr. Dagi look oh so content.
Love you, Mom

Heidi, I love the quilt and I think you selected the perfect name. Dagi looks quite pleased with himself for inspiring you :) You've been doing so well this year getting those WIPs finished. I'm envious, lol. I also wish I had someone to come over and stitch with me. That's always so much fun.
Autumn hugs, Joanne

Congratulations on getting another one ticked off the WIP Heidi.
That is a beautiful little quilt and aptly named. The label is charming.
I like your new blog header. I have a couple of those chunky type bobbins that a friend brought back from Malta for me.
As always a very enjoyable visit to your blog.

Hi,
We are on a roller coaster of finishing UFO's and WIP's.
Feels good, don't you think?
The only downside is that I already have ideas for new projects. But first I have to finish the other UFO's.
And I know Eric is your brother.

The fabric on the back is perfect for that quilt!

Does the quilt still have the same name when Dagi isn't there? LOL

Awww...a quilt in honor of Mr. Dagi!!! That is so very sweet, Heidi, and he looks quite handsome sitting regally on HIS quilt. Beautiful work my friend, gorgeous!!

Nothing is better than sharing a cup of tea and doing something creative with a good friend.
