At last!

I can finally share a finish with you. It seems I have so many things going and nothing to share lately. I was behind on my stitchery blocks for the Noah's Ark SAL project but today have caught up. Here are my first four blocks hanging on my quilt design wall.

Block three was 'Rainbow and cows'. As you can see, I am using a scrappy look for the log cabin strips sewn around each block.

Block four is 'Kangaroos'. This has been fun as not being from Australia, I never considered putting kangaroos in the ark. Aren't they adorable?

You can still join in on this fun free online project. Just pop over to Lynette Anderson's blog and check it out. She is really a talented quilt designer.

Lovely kangaroos! And I'm sure they would have been in the Ark!

Heidi,
Congratulations on keeping right up to date with this pretty SAL. I am so thrilled i was able to see the first section close up. the remainder look just as pretty. The kangaroos look as if they are two middle aged friends just off for a day's shopping!
Hugs, Angela

I've had my eye on it, too -- I printed out the patterns but haven't started yet.

How sweet those blocks are. I also like how you are doing the sashing around your blocks. That's one of my favorite ways of doing that. I bet it feels good to be getting caught up.

Thanks anyway, I will just enjoy yours. LOL. It is coming along very well. I know for sure now that I am going to like stitching people better than anything else.
Guess what, Mandie did a blog entry today.
Love you, Mom

I love these quilt blocks. I can't wait to see all of them put together. How many more are there? You look like you are having fun combining these two crafts.
